Name: Greg Monforte
Company: Turnkey Sports & Entertainment
Location: Haddonfield, NJ
Position: Market Intelligence Intern
Who is Turnkey Sports & Entertainment?
Turnkey Sports & Entertainment is broken into two main areas
of focus. The first is Market
Intelligence. Market Intelligence has
two parts, surveyor which works with teams and leagues to custom market research
and prospector which automatically finds, appends, and scores sales leads. The second area of focus is Executive
Recruiting that helps teams and leagues fill different positions in the
organization.
What are my responsibilities?
My responsibilities change from day to
day. I help with anything that anyone in
the office needs help with. The main two
things that I am working on now are programing surveys and creating marketing
lists in the four major sports leagues.
These marketing lists allow the company to reach out to the people that
would be interested in the different software that we offer. Some of my other responsibilities include
creating pivot tables for open end questions in a survey, helping to set up
excel files in order to be analyzed, and closing searches for the recruiting
side.
Do I like it so far?
So far I have enjoyed working at Turnkey
a lot. There is constantly work that
needs to be done and I know that they give me important work and not just busy
work to keep me occupied. I enjoy
answering the phone and getting to talk to people in the industry even if it is
only usually for less than a minute. My
favorite part about the coop is the atmosphere and people. It is very laid back and they allow you to
wear whatever you want so one day I can be in jeans and polo and the next
shorts and a tee-shirt. The people are
super friendly and made it very easy for me to integrate into the work
family. As a company we do many events
together including playing in a high pitch softball league and Spring Fling on
Fridays.
Downsides?
The only downside that I have is that
sometimes the work can be a little tedious.
Most of the work I do on a day to day basis is the same thing. This can make the job a little boring at
times but that’s why I try to ask different the different parts for work so I can
try new things and not be doing the same thing over and over.
What am I looking forward to in the future?
In the future I am looking forward to
taking on more responsibilities in the company.
Every day I try to ask for more tasks so I can learn as much as
possible. I want to come out of this
internship with as many skills to help me in the future as possible.
