Leaving Your Mark: Search Firms Filling Head Coaching Vacancies

In a few different posts on this blog over the years, I have referenced recruiters and search firms in the sports and entertainment industry.  As some of you know, I worked at Turnkey Sports and Entertainment as a Senior Execuitive Recruiter for three years.  I completed searches from the Director-level up to C-level in the four major sports, MLS, motorsports, and collegiate marketing properties.  All of these positions were on the "business" side with no direct tie-in to the field or court.

Along with Turnkey, Ascension Sports Partners, Prodigy Sports, Teamwork, and Game Face are the top search firms in the sports industry that most people, especially sport management students and graduates, are aware of and follow.  However, I recently came across an awesome article on ESPN regarding the search firms that are involved in coaching and administrator roles in collegiate athletics.  It provides great detail, insights, and perceptions.  It is a longer read than most ESPN articles but is well worth it.  Enjoy...
