A Discussion with Andrew Brandt


PHILADELPHIA, PA: The Sport Management Student Union (SMTSU) at Drexel University is pleased to announce it will be holding, "A Discussion with Andrew Brandt" on Thursday, March 1, from 6:30pm - 8pm. The event will be held in the Papadakis Integrated Sciences Building (PISB), room 112, on the Drexel University Main Campus.

The featured speaker, Andrew Brandt, comes to Drexel University with tremendous credentials. Mr. Brandt is an accomplished sports executive with more than 20 years' experience in professional football. Mr. Brandt has experience representing top athletes, such as Boomer Esiason and Michael Jordan, and in the areas of negotiations and salary cap management after serving as Vice President of the Green Bay Packers from 1999-2008. He is also the NFL Business Analyst for ESPN, President of NationalFootballPost.com, and a Lecturer at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

When asked to comment on the upcoming event, SMTSU Faculty Advisor Dr. Ellen Staurowsky noted, "We are fortunate to have someone of Andrew Brandt’s stature and professional accomplishments here at Drexel contributing valuable insights and wisdom to the ongoing dialogue in the Department of Sport Management on the business of sport.  

SMTSU President Kevin Giordano echoed Dr. Staurowsky's comments, saying "Andrew Brandt's wealth of experience in the industry will provide Drexel Sport Management students invaluable insight into athlete representation, contract negotiations, and salary cap management."
