The Ultimate Social Media Engagement

Last night during the Daytona 500, driver Brad Keselowski tweeted a picture (shown above) during the race.  Capitalizing on the buzz surrounding the tweeted picture, Keselowski gained over 100,000 followers since.  Do you think that drivers should be allowed to use their social media during events like this?  Do you think this could catch on in other sports?  Share your opinions and leave a comment!

  1. I think this was a great idea by Keselowski! Of course, this wouldn't catch on with all athletes but if an athlete is willing and doesn't feel it gets in the way of anything then he/she should go for it!
As for other sports, I think it would be really interesting to see how something like this would work in minor league baseball. The minors are always looking for new, sometimes crazy, ways to reach and engage with fans. Maybe this could be the start of something new.
