SMTSU Member Spotlight: Ryan Cuttler

Ryan Cuttler is a pre-junior sport management major from Tinton Falls, New Jersey.  Because he hails from North Jersey, it is only fitting that Ryan’s favorite sports teams lie in New York with the New York Knicks being his favorite team.  But seriously, only somebody with their favorite sport being basketball, a true basketball fan, could have New York Knickerbocker Steve Novak as his favorite athlete.

 Ryan’s reason for wanting to work in the sports industry is simple.  “I wanted to work in sports every day,” he said.

With event operations as a major interest area for Ryan, his experiences in the industry indicates that he is certainly on the right path to success.  Last year during his first co-op, Ryan worked as the facility and event intern for The Hoop Group.  This year, Ryan has just started his event operations co-op with The Barclays, a big-time tournament on the PGA Tour docket.
